I’m Mimi Von Boom. I’m an Artist. A Writer. A Blogger. A Social Worker.
I am passionate about women’s issues, equality for the sexes, equality for religion/s, the de-criminalization of addiction, homelessness, HIV/AIDS, FGM, world hunger, poverty, animal rights, art, literature, intellectualism, philosophy…as this blog grows I might zero in on one or two of these and create a theme, or I might post all over the board on these issues. One common thread is these are all issues that are central to the human condition and what it means to be able to suffer, to thrive, to be fallible, to be successful, creative, to win and to lose. And we all do a little bit of something on that list every single day.
You might find my opinions offensive. You might find them funny. You might agree with me. I know most people say they don’t care (what you think).
Well, I’m going to tell you I do care what you think. And I hope you care, too. If nothing else, I hope that something I write, repost, or comment on might make you think. Or brighten your day. Or just help you fill the time in your day when you would otherwise be bored…I am not here to offend. I’m here to say what I think and share what I like.
I might raise awareness, I might make a joke, and I might say something that’s intensely personal. I will say - please take everything with a grain of salt. These are just opinions. Opinions deserve a forum for expression. We are all learning and growing every day and I’m no different.
